Toys That Girls Like

Girls' toys usually look sweet and cuddly and cute. Girls like dolls and doll houses and doll clothes. Usually, girls play house with their dolls, pretending they are the sister or the mother and their dolls are their sisters or their daughters. They love to play dress up. They choose clothes for their dolls for different occasions, just like what real women do. Each girl had probably experienced owning a Barbie or at least playing with it. They also have baby dolls. These kinds of toys show girls' maternal instincts.

Girls also like playing with their doll houses. They decorate their doll houses with mini furniture and mini appliances. And this is where their dolls usually 'live'.

Girls like role-playing games. However, when they do role-playing games, it is usually much more realistic compared to boys. For girls, they will just act out events in everyday lives like in a house or school, compared to boys, who usually pretend to be superheroes with supernatural powers or astronauts who will travel through the space.

Other interesting girls' toys are cash register toys and play money where they can pretend to be cashiers or shoppers in a grocery or convenience store. They also like playing with cooking toys and pretending that they are cooking their own food.

Aside from human dolls, they also like playing with stuffed dolls like stuffed animals that are usually in pastel or pale colors. They also like dolls of popular cartoon characters like Dora, Strawberry Shortcake, Hello Kitty and other female characters.

Girls also like toys that imitate domestic items such as stoves, washing machine, cooking items, groceries, dishes and other household objects. This shows the domestic side of girls. Women are generally more inclined to do domestic chores than males.

Doctor's or nurses' kits with toy stethoscope, thermometer, or medicines are other popular toys for girls. They like having 'patients' or someone to take care of. Girls also like grooming and primping themselves and their dolls. Again, this shows the nurturing side of girls.

They usually own toy grooming kits with combs, mirrors, toy make ups and beauty products, scrunchies, clips and hair pins, and other fake beauty paraphernalia. They like grooming and primping themselves and also their dolls. Girls also like having toy jewelleries, accessories, plastic shoes, and costumes for fairies or princesses.

For music-related toys, girls usually have violins. This instrument is usually considered as a feminine instrument. Girls also like arts and crafts toys like scrapbooking materials, bead crafts, jewellery making materials, fashion crafts, and sewing and knitting materials. Some girls also like painting and drawing.

Girls' toys usually enhance physical attractiveness, creativity, domestic skills, and nurturance.

When playing, girls also tend to play inside because they do not want to get dirty or get bruises or scratches on their bodies. They always want to look and smell nice. Furthermore, their can usually play by themselves with their dolls as their playmates. Because of this, aggressiveness and competitiveness are not well-developed among girls.

Advantages of Creative Toys For Children

It seems as if most toys we see for children today do nothing to engage any type of brain activity whatsoever. Mindless computer or gaming activities dominate the toy landscape, and children do not have many option for developing their creative sides and imaginative abilities. When a child is given the opportunity to work with arts and crafts most of them usually enjoy them quite immensely. As parents, teachers, and day care providers we have a responsibility to give the children under our care the best toys and activities for them as we can find. There are plenty of advantages for a child using artistic type toys it is worth our time to take a look at the most beneficial reasons here.

One type of classic art and craft item for kids are crayons. Just about any kid likes time to color and use crayons. It gives them the ability to express themselves in a way that really no other toy or activity can. We see that presently crayons are used quite extensively for younger children less than ten years of age, and for good reason. It seems that since crayons have been introduced since the early nineteen hundreds not much has changed with them at all. The biggest change, however, is the use of non-toxic crayon materials. This really is a must as younger kids will at times put these in to their mouth and it can be a health hazard unless the crayon is made from inert materials. One other thing to consider, while we are discussing safety, is using paper that does not have a sharp edge as it is very easy for kids to get paper cuts. You can find paper with soft edges that are dulled and will prevent any paper cuts from happening.

The biggest reason for providing kids with arts and crafts toys and activities is so that they develop their creative abilities. What teachers and other day care providers find is that when kids are allowed to be engaged in these types of activities they respond in a much more positive way than with other more traditional learning activities. When learning is incorporated with an art activity it helps kids to utilize their imagination and creativity to help them learn.

This provides solid motor and neuron memory skills than helps to reinforce and solidify whatever topic they are trying to learn at the time. We also know that when children are given free time with arts and crafts supplied they usually engage themselves for extended periods of time which helps them learn how to be independent learners. We also know that arts and crafts supplies can be acquired for anyone who is on a budget. You will see that at any dollar store there is are abundant supplies of art materials, and also tools needed for crafts as well.

So long as you ensure that the arts and crafts materials you are providing to your children are safe there really are no negative effects to them. You will see that you child will immensely enjoy their time with whatever activities and supplies you give them, and you will also be amazed at how creative they can be. Giving them extended opportunities to use these supplies and work with art will help them develop into independent learners.

Recommended Stress Relief Toys

With the high level of stress that many people face today in the workplace, at school or at home, it is no wonder that many manufacturers are coming out with stress relief toys to help stressed out people cope with stress.

Stress relief toys work because they are fun to use. They make great gifts to co-workers and, basically, to anyone you know who needs a quick relief from stress. Place stress relief toys at your desk and just grab them whenever stress levels are rising. They can help you relax while you play with them.

There are so many different kinds of stress relief toys. One of the most popular ones is the slinky. The classic slinky is made of metal but there are also plastic ones. They come in solid or even rainbow colors. Stretch it and watch it snap back into place or shift it back and forth between your hands as you think about work. In fact, it is a great toy to use during brainstorming sessions and planning meetings to help people relax.

Stress balls are also popular stress relief toys. They are indeed excellent stress relievers. Stress balls are made of rubber material and most are air filled so you can squeeze them when you are feeling frustrated, panicky, or tense. Just fidgeting with these stress relief toys is sometimes enough to reduce your stress level.

Other rubber stress relief toys that will sure to cheer you up a bit are stretchable toys like a rubber chicken, squishy frog, a stretchy ape or clown or stretchy happy faces which you can elongate, bend or twist. They often have tiny bead fillings so they make soft crunching sound when you squeeze them. They are fun and are great to have at your desk so you can easily play with them and get your mind off stressful work for a few minutes.

Among the top-selling stress relief toys are mini replicas of various settings such as a Zen garden, backyard garden, a beach, a sandbox and a construction zone. These settings are confined in a small box that is designed to be placed on the desktop so you can reach out and do some pretend gardening, for instance. These stress relief toys are truly enjoyable. Your officemates will want to get one of these when they see you happily hauling rocks in your mini construction site or raking the sand in your tiny Zen garden. They are really fun ways to ease work stress.

3 Tips For Organizing Toys

If you have kids in your home, organizing toys is something you think about daily. And if your house is anything like mine, toys tend to take over almost every room in your home. At some point during the day, there are usually toys in the kitchen, family room and TV room all at the same time. Such is life with kids. So when it's time to clean up, I make sure that every one of those toys has a home to go to. All it takes is a little organization. Here are a few ideas to help you keep those toys organized in your home.

Contain the smaller items.

Action figures, small toy cars, dress-up jewelry, and Barbie dolls and accessories are just some of the things that can be put in containers for easy small toy organization. If you can, stackable is the way to go here. Stackable containers give you more space and are easier to organize. Shoe boxes (plastic or cardboard) work well for these smaller items. You can even get the kids more interested in using the boxes if you let them personalize them. Get a sheet of stickers and let them go crazy on the box. Using different colored labels for the different boxes that the items go into can help kids who can't read yet put the right item in the right box.

Nets and shelves.

Nets that stretch over corners can work well to hold lots of stuffed animals. If you'd rather display the stuffed animals so that you can see them, shelves are good way to go. Shelves also work well for putting away all of those containers you have of all the smaller toys. It also works well for those medium sized toys that are too small for the floor but too big to go much of anywhere else. Adjustable shelving (the kind that has brackets that screw into the wall) that can grow and change as your child grows and changes is the best investment. Many adjustable shelving units can be changed and modified into a computer desk for older children.

Getting rid of the old stuff.

Because your child is sure to get more toys on his/her birthday and at special holidays, make sure that you schedule time to get rid of the old toys. Ideally, you want to get rid of toys that your child no longer plays with and has outgrown. If your child is old enough, have them participate in helping you get rid of the toys. If you will be donating the old toys, go through the toys with your child and explain that you are giving away his/her old toys so that a child that doesn't have toys can enjoy them. Also explaining that he/she will be getting new toys shortly can help ease the blow too.

Technological Toys and Children

Many people will be able to remember when toys consisted of blocks, train sets, Lego, Barbie dolls and games like snakes and ladders. Today however, the word "toy" has been redefined. Today's toys are completely different than they used to be ten or twenty years ago. There are still some of the same toys hanging around, but kids these days are usually looking for more of the newer toys that have been developed in the last couple of years.

Toy makers and manufacturers have changed their way of thinking when it comes to what kinds of toys to design. Kids these days have much higher expectations of what they want out of their toys, and with the newer, technological toys on the market today, and newer, better things coming out all the time, parents have a lot more work to do!

Technological toys entered the market place a few years ago, and the word "toy" has never been the same since. Technological toys range from computer games, and X-box to educational toys like leap frog and battery operated Lego robot toys. There are a ton of different technological toys out there, and parent have the hard task of trying to figure out which ones are harmful to their child's psyche and which ones will actually be healthy for their child to play with.

There aren't too many computer and Nintendo / Xbox games out there that are beneficial to your child. However, because some parents have voiced their concerns over some of these mind numbing games in the last couple of years, the toy developers have now come out with a few educational games that your child will enjoy playing. Some of these games have the education part more cleverly disguised, and your child will not even know that he or she is learning new skills while playing them!

Educational toys for younger children have become more technological as well. Gone are the days of educational toys like the abacus and alphabetical blocks; nowadays, parents of younger kids - even toddlers, are able to buy computer games and video games that their children can play with and enjoy while learning new concepts and skills. There are even exercising plug and play games for toddlers. Parents can plug a toy trike into their television and the toddler can pedal and race on the TV all the while learning about things like shapes, colors, numbers and the alphabet. There are certainly a lot more options out there these days for parents than there were five or ten years ago.

Another educational technological toy that has set the standard for other companies is Leapfrog. This toy maker has been around for years, and they are constantly coming up with new and better ideas for educational toys. They seem to know what kids like, and how they best learn. One of the best things about this toy company is that they make educational toys for a dew different age groups. Parents will like this, because it makes it a lot cheaper when families have more than one child.

Lego Agents Toys - Mobile Command Center

One of the most loved toy makers in the world has done it again, creating a #1 hot-seller for kids in the age range of 8-14, and reportedly adults are also having a great time with it!

This toy is far more than a simple Lego set for kids - it's a "super secret good-guy spy" game that combines much creative building with creative imagination and strategy too.

Mission of the Lego Agents Toys - Mobile Command Center: The evil Dr. Inferno has been captured by the good-guy spies, and is being held captive in the command center. The players' job is to make sure that not only does Dr. Inferno stay captive, but to prevent his evil minion spies from infiltrating the command center.

The command center is an "in disguise" very innocent looking blue and gray trailer truck but secret hatches open to reveal what's inside - super spy technology and the utmost top-secret information - as well as a high-tech prison cell for Dr. Inferno to prevent his escape.

The Lego Agents Toys Mobile Command Center includes 7 figures, one jet plane and 2 cars - there are a total of 1,154 pieces to put together, but detailed instructions (4 books with details and pictures) are included to make sure that the set can be put together methodically, step-by-step. Once it's all put together, kids can proceed to "spy mode", play the game out and have a wonderful time.

If you're looking for a great toy for an imaginative child who loves building and spy games, the Lego Agents Toys Mobile Command Center is a great choice, and most definitely gets a "thumbs up".

Bakugan Toys Are One of the Hottest Toys in 2009

Bakugan toys have become one of the top toys that kids want over recent months. They are based on the popular Japanimation series "Bakugan Battle Brawlers" which is about a group of kids that battle in duels using cards and monsters from another dimension called Vestroia in order to save the universe.

The toys were created through a joint effort between Sega Games and Spin Master and follow the concept of the cartoon very closely. The cards used in the game feature characters from the TV series just like the actual toys, which are basically spheres that when rolled over the cards pop open to reveal the battle brawler.

Like its predecessors Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, it is also a collectible card game that utilizes the marble concept as well. Each player takes turns attempting to stand one of their spheres onto the magnetic gate cards. While the cards are collectible, it is the toy spheres that kids are after. There are over 75 different kinds at this point and more to be released in the future as the popularity of the game increases.

The rules to the game are very simple, and easy for any kid to understand after watching the cartoon series. Each player sets out a gate card at the beginning of their turn and then rolls one of their Bakugan in an attempt to get it to stand on a card. If they miss then it is the other player's turn. If a player can land two of his spheres on a card then the card is taken into that player's possession. If each player gets one of their battle brawlers on the same card then a battle ensues. The players then turn over the card and add the appropriate G points to their brawler's G points to decide who wins. The winner captures the card. The first player with three cards wins the match.

The game is very simple to learn to play, and is a lot of fun. Other rule variations can be used when playing as well. There are many accessories that are sold that can add to the experience of your Bakugan games, such as the battle arena and the shooters. The battle arena explains the rules slightly different, but as long as you can agree to some rules with your opponent then you can enjoy the game.

Dog Toys For Large Dogs and Aggressive Chewers

Many people assume that just because a dog toy was purchased from a pet store, it is automatically safe for their dog. But this is not the case, as several toys are made for dogs of certain sizes and with certain play/chewing styles, and some toys can be dangerous for dogs if they are not properly supervised.

Large dogs or dogs that chew aggressively both have very specific needs when it comes to dog toys. Large dogs should always be given toys that are made for large dogs, because the smaller toys could become choking hazards.

Similarly, aggressive chewers (especially large aggressive chewers) can suffer from a whole host of issues with improperly selected toys. Any plastic, hollow squeaker toy is automatically out without proper supervision, because these toys can cause choking and vomiting if swallowed, and aggressive chewers tend to easily rip pieces of plastic from these toys apart. Also, furry toys, like stuffed animals, are also at risk of being ripped and eaten, and so should be purchased with extreme caution.

Still, for these two types of dogs, there are still several toy options. First, all of these toys are still made for dogs, and so if you do have time to properly supervise your dog, each is a nice gift. But for those that like to leave toys with their dogs, large ropes make great chew toys. They also clean teeth, and are less likely to be ripped apart, making them ideal for the aggressive chewing dogs.

Large dogs can still enjoy most any toy, as most dog toy makers do have "large breed" versions of all of their toys, you simply have to find them.

Also, brands like Kong use thick rubber which is more durable than traditional thin plastic dog toys, so these toys can stand up to even the roughest chewers. Hard rubber toys are ideal for any dog that seems to be destroying its toys faster than you can purchase them.

Finally, any toy that a dog needs to "solve" - for example, a large plastic dome with treats inside that a dog needs to paw around with in order to receive the treats - is a great toy for active dogs (but not for dogs that are easily frustrated). Any large plastic dome toy should still be watched at first, however, because dogs that like to "kill" their toys (shake their toys violently back and forth) may try to do so with their heavy plastic toy, causing untold amount of damage.

Dog toy manufacturers have done a much better job of creating toys for larger dogs and aggressive chewers. Still, it is a good idea to consider each toy carefully before handing it over to your dog, and supervising your dog for a while to ensure it is using the toy correctly.

Kids' Gifts - Popular Toys For Kids

Children of all ages love to play with toys, and for that reason a toy is almost always an excellent gift choice. There are always toys that are in style or fashion, and some that are very trendy, and some that are classic gifts. When considering what gift to get a child, it is important to consider the age of the child, what they already have, what they like to play with, and what your budget may be.

There are several different toys that are popular with kids, and there are toys that are more popular with boys than girls, and vice versa. In choosing toys for kids remember that children love to use their imagination, so toys that encourage creativity and play are exceptional choices.

For young boys cars and racetracks are always popular. Fisher Price has produced a "Shake and Go Speedway Racetrack" which allows the child to shake the car to power up the motor, and then place it on the track to race. An automatic voice gives a play by play of the race, and kids and adults alike can cheer along. Lego has always been a favorite, and the wide variety of theme packs that can interchange with each other makes Lego a versatile gift. A new Wild Hunters Lego set complete with elephants, lions and crocodiles can really stir the imagination. Another building set that is very popular in Magneatos, which uses the concept of magnets to hold the building blocks together. These pieces are larger than Lego blocks and are perfect for younger children.

For girls there are several new toys that are very popular. The Rescue Pets are delightful looking puppies and kittens waiting to be adopted by your little girl. They have their own adoption certificate and information on caring for your puppy or kitten. EZ 2 Quikrochet is not your old-fashioned spool knitting craft package. This uniquely designed easy to hold knitting tool is perfect for making fashion jewelry, hair accessories, scarves or other projects. The Hollywood Barbie set is very popular, with Barbie being a Hollywood movie director. The doll comes with all the accessories, and can of course be interchanged with any other Barbie set. There is also the traditional favorite of the Easy Bake Oven for younger children. Kids love to pretend to cook, and this is a terrific way to let them pretend, without having to worry about safety.

Boys and girls enjoy a lot of toys and games together, and it is important to avoid indicating that some games or toys are just for boys or just for girls. Encouraging children to spend time playing together with toys, using their imaginations and just having fun is what being young is all about. One of the cool new toys that is loved by both boys and girls is the Etch a Sketch Wired. This allows the Etch A Sketch board to be wired to the TV set, so the children will actually see on TV what they are drawing on their Etch-A-Sketch screen. Another popular board game is the Cranium Family Fun or the Cranium original. The Family Fun version is designed for younger children up to age 7, and the original game is for older children.

Swivel Office Chairs

The modern businessman or businesswoman experiences days and even weeks when they can't seem to get away from their desk. Constantly answering phone calls, responding to emails, updating client files, conducting online database research, and typing proposals translates into hours upon hours spent in a single desk chair. Stress placed on the body during prolonged sitting leads to bad posture, arthritis, back pain, and carpel tunnel syndrome, as well as other skeletal and muscular problems.

The furniture solution for the worker who needs a flexible chair that delivers both support and comfort is a new line of swivel office chairs. These chairs feature a seat that swivels on its base in response to torsion, meaning the chair will move seamlessly with your body as you rotate to access different work spaces. The unique mobility eliminates the need to strain over an armrest to reach across your desk or down to a drawer. If you make the switch to one of these swivel office chairs, you will notice that small movements side to side and well as up and down are considerably easier than they were in your old stationary chair.

The Incredible Technology

A pneumatic seat adjustment system is at the core of the swivel chair design. The technology employed by swivel office chairs replaces manual cranks to allow for better control of seat height, uninhibited 360-degree swivel, chair tilt and tension, as well as a tilt lock. The control levers are easy to access, and adjustments are made easily and silently. Even when locked into place, the swivel chairs have a slight give to them, turning the chair into a miniature shock absorber, dampening any vibrations as you move before you are able to feel them. The pneumatic mechanism is completely self-contained and rarely requires maintenance or part replacement. These chairs are comfortable yet durable, making them the ideal choice when outfitting a new office building.

New Level of Ergonomic Chairs

Swivel office chairs improve upon every dimension of the ergonomic chair design. When compared to standard office chairs, swivel chairs are reported to be more comfortable, easier to use, safer, and just more attractive aesthetically. Users experience reduced aches as pains, particularly in the lumbar area, due to less strain on the spine throughout the day. The swivel office chairs also improve employee productivity in the workplace, leading to a more efficient and profitable business.

Engineered for a Chic Design

The beauty of the pneumatic swivel office chairs is that a sleek casing is used to hide the technology within the stem of the chair, allowing for a more modern chair design. In fact, the swivel feature is beginning to pop up in other furniture, such as pub stools and kitchen or dining room seating. The slim design means that the chairs take up less space, making them great for small offices, corners of rooms utilized for seating, and college dorm rooms. Swivel chairs are the ultimate in modern office accessories and are slowly replacing traditional stationary office chairs across the country.

Top Ten Toy List For 2007

I finally got a good connection of the internet at my house so now I can write weekly. Tis the season to start thinking about gifts. Gifts for friends, family, associates , you name it.
I am going to give you my own list of the toys I just KNOW are going to be hot this holiday season. Most people would use the word "prediction". I wont use that word because predictions can be wrong. I believe 100% in what I am saying and in what I know, so here is my list of " Toys that will be HOT during the 2007 Holiday Season".

" Toys that will be HOT during the 2007 Holiday Season":

1. The Fisher-Price Digital Arts and Crafts Studio- this thing is amazing. I HAVE TO GET ONE FOR XMAS!!! Who is going to get one for me?Hopefully my dear, lovely, doctor sister will because I love her with all of my heart. This studio is amazing!! It allows you to draw, color, everything- it hooks up to your computer and you can save your art. Do you guys remember the guy on PBS who had the afro- he painted "Happy Trees" - he would start with a blank slate and end up with a canvas that was absolutely amazing. Sometimes , while painting, he would dip his brush in some paint, and you'd be like," Hey man, what are you doing, now you KNOW that color isn't right!". But somehow, at the end of the show, everything would blend and his canvas would be amazing- he always drew landscapes. So having the Arts and Crafts Studio is like having your own PBS show. You can print and save everything you've created. Mark my world AMERICA- this WILL Be the best selling toy this season. Its only $44.

2. The Fisher Price Light Sketcher - This is so COOL!!! Maybe somebody working for Fisher Price will send me one of these. This is like the Magna Doodle, but only better. It allows you to draw with light. So when you are in a car, and its dark, and you're bored, you can take out your Light Sketcher and draw-I love it!!! This is $29.99 at Target. You can draw in 3 different patterns - line, dotted line, or dashes. This is going to be a top seller.

So Fisher Price will definitely have at least 2 of the top 5 toys this season. Wow, Fisher Price is on a roll. They always are. F-P and the Sesame Street gang- I wonder what type of Elmo will be invented this season??

Now the rest are just dashed because I think they are interesting but I have not ranked them yet and I don't know if they deserve to be ranked.

- GI JOE Collection box- For all of us between the ages of 20-35, we all remember GI JOE. G.I Joe, American Hero. Hasbro has created a GI JOE Anniversary Collectors box that commemorates the 25th anniversary of GI JOE. The "gift box" is nice and simple. I like it. BUt if I got one , I wouldn't play with it. I would keep it nice and closed so it would be worth money at the 50th anniversary celebration. So if anyone buys one of these, I think they will have to buy 2: one they can play with and one they would reserve. This might make Hasbro some money. But not as much money as F-P's going to be making with that Art Studio.

- Nerf: Nerf has come up with a NERF Disk Shot that has 6 darts and 6 foam discs that can be shot through the air. The concept is neat but I don't know how safe it is. What happens if I shoot my sister in the face with it. Is the foam soft enough that it wont hurt anyone? Thats my only concern. But Nerf has really come out with some great products this season.

- Transformers- Transformers are a brand, not a company. Walking into the toy store, you would think it was the opposite. There are WAY too many Transformer toys. With the release of the Transformers on DVD, it will spark an interest in their toys. Lots of money has been spent on the trasnformer Toys. The Optimus Prime Voice Changer is cool. You know whats even cooler? The Transformers Projector System which allows you to project a stencil drawing on a sheet of paper, and then you can stand at your big piece of paper and draw whats being projected. This is really neat. You see how arts and crafts are really big this season? Kids like to do things with their hands and use their imagination. The F-P arts and Crafts studio uses the imagination more than this Transformers Projector System, but yet this Projector system is neat.

- Rose Art: Rose Art needs to be bought by Hasbro. They are always doing great things. I don't know how many times I need to say this. If Hasbro doesn't buy them, Mattel will. Mattel makes their money from acquisitions. This is what Hasbro needs to start doing. Rose Art creates a lot of "do it yourself" toys. I have their cotton candy machine, which works quite well. Rose Art now has a "Hover & Spin Paint Machine". This is so cool. You stick your paper on the machine. The paper spins and you drop paint on the spinning paper, different colored paint, which eventually creates a painted masterpiece. State fairs usually have this spinning art thing. Now you can have one in your own home, and its only $14.99. This is going to be a hot toy once people see it. Rose art toys don't get good displays in toy stores. I should rank this- this is my 4th top pick.
Rose Art also has a deluxe pottery wheel and a on the Go Art cup which is ideal for little kids.

-- SpinMaster - another company that needs to be acquired. Spin Master is really making their mark, coming up with innovative technologies. The Spin Master Tech Deck and skateboards are quite nifty. So is the Girl Crush Air Brush Tattoo system, which allows you to airbrush a fake tattoo onto your skin or your friends skin. No longer do you have to rub fake tatoos on.

The following toys are interesting to look at and may interest you:

The Spider Man and friends toy collection. The toys have soft upper bodies, which make them ideal for little kids.

Action Command Spider Man- doesn't really do anything but the packaging is quite extraordinary.

Playskool's Spider Man Sing Along - Now when I think of Spider Man , I think of a big tough guy. Who in the world created a sing along spider man?? HUH?? Thats like creating a sing along BatMan or a sing along Transformer?? Im surprised this toy made it through quality control at Hasbro. However, this toy is intended for kids 5 and below, in my opinion. At that age, kids dont know that Spider Man is supposed to be tough. So in actuality, this toy may work. All the kid wants to do is sing, so I think this toy may sell well, but the age group that likes this toy will be very specific- I say 5 and below. No 9 year old kid is going to want this toy. This Spider Man even has a soft soothing voice. When is Hasbro going to make a Glo-Worm that talks and can say goodnight in English and Spanish??

If I had a baby, I would buy the kid a Fisher Price learning DJ. The Dj has moving eyes and rocks to the beat of ABCS and 123. This toy is HOT!!! IF you know any kids below the age of 7, you really need to get them the F-P Learning DJ. Its interactive as well. Ill rank this as #5, especially for kids below the age of 7.

I like the Wish with Me little Cinderella & Little Ariel. It doesnt do anything. I just like the sounds it makes and the way the crown lights up. I really like the way the crown lights up. The Barbie Glamour Pup toy is okay too, if you're into Barbie. Im not.

Barbie is for Mattel what Transformers may be for Hasbro this season.

The Hannah Montana CD Board game may do well too. DIsney knows how to make their money.

Toys that are just dangerous: The F-P Jeff Gordon Shake N Go. What happens if the car shoots into someone's face??

Summary: Buy the Arts and Crafts Studio for your young ones. And the light sketcher . Fisher-Price (which is owned my Mattel) will be the biggest money maker this season unless other toy companies come out with something between now and Xmas.Rose Art and Spinmaster will also do quite well. Transformers will give Hasbro a little boost and the GI JOe commemorative box needs better marketing so that people my age know about it. Put a commercial on MTV,VH1, and ESPN and then people will know about it. Do a commercial during "Dancing with the Stars" and have an ad at the baseball field where the baseball playoffs are occurring. Try placing them in the men's section instead of in the toy section.

There you have it, my picks for Winter 2007- AMY A

New Toys For Christmas 2008

New toys for Christmas are just expected on the holiday. Though family members may feel it's more helpful to provide clothes and savings bonds, Moms and Dads in all sorts of situations will do their best to provide at least one neat toy for their little ones. So, how will you decide what is going to be the best buy for your money? First, look at your child and consider the age and the interests. There is nothing more frustrating than new toys that are not appropriate. A child who cannot reach the peddles or understand the rules of the game, will be most disappointed, not only in the holidays, but in himself or herself.

If money is tight this year,it's not too late to plan some new holiday traditions. It does not take money to plan time together. All it takes is commitment. Holiday movie nights once week from Thanksgiving till Christmas is a great way to make memories with your family. In doing so,it will give you additional insight into what new toys for Christmas would be best to buy for your children. Is it the action movie that has them glued to the screen? Or is it the rock star tween dancing her way into your child's heart? Maybe it's the animation from years ago that sparks an interest in art design. See what makes your child laugh and smile and be inspired to provide the sort of gifts that expand on this budding talent. Children learn by doing and are encouraged by small successes.

Some of the more popular items that seem to be on the fast track for demand this year is Coralie dolls. The industry is seeing this category grow significantly with emphasis on soft huggable dolls. The role play is awesome and the price being right is putting this pretty little doll high on the list. The entire line of the Webkinz will certainly be hot again this year, and with the level of play they provide, who's surprised? These plush toys are interactive with your child via the web, of course. They come with items termed as "special". The price is coming down dramatically for the first time since conception. They are going to do exceptionally well as one of the new toys for Christmas.

For the little man on your list, there is a very cool 40 piece play set featuring Thomas and Percy going to the carnival. It's a race with all the bells and whistles you would expect to find in a real life carnival atmosphere. With spiral action and roller coaster fun, this play set is going to provide hours of fun and be worthy of passing down through the family. The fun house included is sure to spark your child's imagination. These are new toys for Christmas worth looking into.
